If you have a PPO or a plan with out-of-network benefits, you may still be eligible for reimbursement.
Superbills: I can provide a monthly "Superbill" (a detailed receipt of services) for you to submit directly to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement.
Check Your Benefits: I recommend calling your insurance provider to ask:
"Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health?"
"What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?"
"What is the reimbursement rate for service code 90837?"
Coming Soon: I am currently looking into integrating Mentaya, a platform that automates the out-of-network claim process so you can skip the paperwork and get reimbursed faster. Stay tuned for updates!
FAQs
How many sessions will I or my child need?
Because I use bottom-up approaches like play therapy, IFS, and EMDR, our work isn't about a "quick fix" for a single behavior. It’s about deep learning and integration. Some clients find relief within 8-12 sessions, while others choose long-term support to navigate the ongoing process of unmasking and identity exploration. We will check in regularly to ensure the pace feels right for your nervous system.
Can I do "parts work" or EMDR virtually?
Absolutely. Many neurodivergent adults actually find virtual therapy more effective because they are in their own safe sensory environment. We can adapt IFS and EMDR (using visual or auditory bilateral stimulation) to work perfectly over a secure video platform.
I’ve had bad experiences with therapy before. How do I know this is different?
Many of my clients come to me after "failing" at traditional talk therapy or CBT, espeically when goals and tratagies are not nuero-affirming or trauma-informed. If you felt like your previous therapist was trying to "fix" your neurodivergent traits or didn't understand why you couldn't just "change your thoughts," you likely weren't designed with and/or your child’s your unuiqe brain and nervous system in mind. In sessions with me, we’ll focus is on felt safety and working with your and/or your child brain’s natural rhythm, not trying to force it into a neurotypical mold.
How do I get started?
I offer a free consultation. This isn't a high-pressure sales call; it’s a "vibe check" for your nervous system. You can ask questions, see how it feels to talk with me, and we can determine if my approach to IFS and EMDR is the right fit for your goals.
